It was a pleasure to meet Charlotte and Travis to celebrate their engagement by having a photoshoot in the New Forest. An engagement photoshoot is the perfect chance to capture such a special chapter of their lives.
The Location
The New Forest is one of my favourite locations for engagement shoots, especially for couples who want something relaxed and surrounded by nature.
With its wild ponies, open heathland and soft, golden light, it creates the most beautiful backdrop for romantic, natural photography.
For Charlotte and Travis, it gave us the space to slow down, explore and just let moments happen — which is always where the magic is.
The Shoot
From the very beginning, Charlotte and Travis were so easy to photograph. Like most couples, they started off saying they felt a little awkward in front of the camera but within minutes, they relaxed into it completely.
We kept things simple:
Walking together
Laughing between moments
Stopping when the light felt just right
Nothing was overly posed or forced. Just a genuine connection and quiet moments between them. As the sun started to set, the light softened into that warm, golden glow that makes everything feel a little more romantic and that’s where their photos really came to life.
